Marriage in Islam



On the scheduled date, the groom's family brings a fruit platter as the gifts for the bride and also wedding dress, sarong, turban, needle... Few days later, the bride's family "returns a civility" to the groom's family a cake tray and receive an envelope of money for the bride.

A special feature of an Islam wedding is very beautiful decorated places, with full of bright colors. In the wedding day, the bride wears a long purple red velvet dress, with white lace headscarves. Hair and ears are decorated with flowers and brooches of gold jewelry such as rings, necklaces, bracelets...
The groom wears a traditional long white clothes of Muslims, bandanna on his head (a typical turban, which is only used in big festivals) and a black vest.

What Is Marriage in Islam?

Typically, the wedding ceremony is taken place in 2 days and 1 night with the important rituals, including Nikah Akkad ceremony (Matrimony),Takhok Khage ceremony (in-bed), Malam Anuk Thaga night (night of girl), Pengan Tin festival (son in-law)..

On the first day they meet, people usually make 3 kinds of special wedding cake together. The 2nd day is the day for "in bed” time, the girl’s family and the boy’s family will pray in their own family, the representative will read the prayer for blessing the bride and groom living together in peace , happiness, and then invited the villagers a party. Upon completion of the ceremony, the bride and groom will send greetings to visitors and invite guests to enjoy the wedding cakes and music...

On the 3rd day is Pengan Tin festival, a group of boys accompanied the groom to his bride’s house, walking and blowing trumpets, drums, singing till the gates of the bride. To show their hospitality, the girl’s family bring water to wash the groom's feet, while people sing joyful songs for him.

Then, they invite the groom’s family come into the house to conduct the marriage ceremonies. After the priest’s statement, a reputable person will read the verses from the Koran, and then the father of the bride stands up in front of the groom to shake his hands in front of the witnesses according to the wedding ceremonies of Islam.

Marriage in Islam


Marriage or matrimony is a relationship among the man and woman. And they then produce children and grow their family. In Islam, marriage is a contract in which a man and woman to live as a husband and wife. A binding contract is consider to a religiously valid in Islam. And have rules and regulations for bride n grooms. In Islam it shows a very beautiful relation among the human being. According to Islam, men and women both have right on each other when the marriage and enter into a contract and they also protect each other and their family. There are different people live in all around the world and have different backgrounds and cultures. They come close each other and come together. Marriage plays a vital role to remove all this differences. These differences are very much condemned by the religion Islam. In Islam loyalty, piety, believes prevails on Allah Almighty. As a result, it becomes clear that people from various cultures, ethnicity and background can get married with each other and can live their life with a new person.

What is Islamic marriage?

 
Islam marriage is a contract in which a man and woman to live as a husband and wife. A binding contract is consider to a religiously valid in Islam. And have rules and regulations for bride n grooms. In which the Islamic prophet Muhammad (SAW) re instituted and passed on his ummah. In Islam the word use for marriage is nikah, which can be used to mean "sexual intercourse".

According to Islam, men and women both have right on each other when the marriage and enter into a contract and they also protect each other and their family. The husband is financially support and maintains all the expenditure of his wife. And produce their children and also took their responsibilities of their growth and give then a good way of life.
 A pre-marital agreement of the financial expectation from the husband is in the mahr, given by him to the wife for her exclusive use, which is included as part of his financial responsibility. The husband provides physical and emotional strength, loyalty, sexual fidelity, and honor. In return, the wife is to guard the secrets of her husband, be honorable, loyal, and conjugally faithful. Tell everybody that there is a significant union taking place. The bridegroom must have a little gift for the bride Marriage plays a vital role to remove all differences. In Islam loyalty, piety, believes prevails on Allah Almighty.

As a result, it becomes clear that people from various customs, cultures, ethnicity and background can get married with each other and can live their life with a new person.

Muslim Wedding

Marriage is a vital part of a Muslim’s life. In fact marriage is so important in the religion of Islam that it is declared to be one half of one’s faith. As a Muslim, one should live in accordance with the Islamic Jurisprudence in the way shown by the greatest of creations and the person who was the greatest impact on mankind in the existence of the universe, The Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
The Prophet himself married and also encouraged others to marry. It has been reported that The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said:

“A person who possesses the means to marry (i.e. he is able to work etc. to support a wife and children) and does not marry then he is not from amongst us (i.e. the believers).”
